Robert H. Wingate

Since 2015, Rob Wingate has seen Catskill Hudson AHEC - through its talented staff, volunteers and partners - make an outsized impact on developing a relevant healthcare workforce. Rob has a passion for integrating new and proven education strategies into meeting public health needs, fed by that of other AHEC leaders and advocates. Rob has also served in Philadelphia, in Colorado, and with the American Red Cross nationally. Rob builds strategies for resource generation, events, adult education and youth service, partnerships, community relations, capital projects and public sector engagement.

His key affiliations are with Seniors’ Resource Center in Denver; Volunteer New York!; the Center for Aging in Place; the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society; EAD & Associates; It Takes A Village 10591; the New York State Association for Rural Health; the Supportive Housing Network of New York; the Family YMCA at Tarrytown; Westchester Medical Center Health Network; Albany Medical Center; and the Reformed Church of the Tarrytowns/Old Dutch Church of Sleepy Hollow.

Rob has long worked to meet varied needs of Latino and Russian-speaking immigrant communities. He served at the New York City command center after 9/11/01, and is published with the Philadelphia Inquirer, HomeTown Media News, and the Association of Performing Arts Presenters. He holds a B.A. in political science from Haverford College, Pa., and has studied at New York Medical College, Fordham University and State University of New York-Purchase College. Rob lives in Tarrytown, N.Y., with his wife Sandra, of Chile; and has two children.
