Executive Director

Rob Wingate has an extensive background in leading and growing health-related community and institutional programs through fund-raising, event and project management, adult education and youth service projects, volunteer recruitment and partnership development, communications and community relations, and public sector engagement.

Rob has served as a consultant, administrator, legislative aide, and leadership volunteer with multiple agencies and non-profit organizations in New York City and New York State, the Philadelphia metropolitan area, and the state of Colorado. These have included, among others, the American Red Cross in Greater New York, the Seniors’ Resource Center in Denver, Volunteer New York!, the Center for Aging in Place in Westchester County, the Campaign to Take Back Vacant Land in Philadelphia, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the New York City Office of Emergency Management.

For them, Rob has worked in areas as diverse as emergency management planning for meeting the needs of people with disabilities during a major disaster; developing aging-in-place organizations and age-friendly public policies; advancing legislation to increase funding and operational flexibility for human service agencies; raising funds and building community partnerships to combat significant chronic and life-threatening illnesses; raising awareness of important human service and disaster relief programs for people who need them in underserved environments and among diverse communities; delivering topical training programs; promoting volunteerism; and connecting significant public health systems and projects.
