Barbara Ilardi

Barbara Ilardi has worked in the field of Public Health for over 30 years, most recently overseeing communications and health education for the Putnam County Department of Health. As a direct report to the Commissioner of Health, she is responsible for planning, coordinating and implementing educational programs geared toward health prevention and promotion. Barbara’s duties also include oversight of all Health Department’s communication to the public.

After September 11, 2001, she became Supervisor of Public Health Emergency Preparedness and was trained in risk communication and designated as the department’s Public Health Information Officer (PIO).

Barbara began her education At Marymount College where she received her B.S. in Foods Nutrition. She attended Pace University Graduate School and earned her Masters of Public Health in Government and Health.  

Ms. Ilardi served as Program Administrator for the Westchester County Department of Health for 15 years. She is also a Certified Dietician Nutritionist for the New York State Education Department and Certified in Public Health by the National Board of Public Health Examiners.

Barbara’s organization affiliations include the Mental Health Association of Putnam, Westchester Putnam Women’s Resource Center, Putnam Family and Community Services and Rotary International. Barbara is also the proud recipient of the Distinguished Service Award for an Individual from the Putnam Community Services Network.
