Susan Koppenhaver, MPH

Ms. Koppenhaver received her Master’s of Public Health in 1994 from Columbia University in Health Policy and Management.  During the time she was in school, she managed The Fishkill Long Term Home Health Care Program, a Lombardi program in Dutchess County (which also had an AIDS Home Care Program), and one of the only Foster Family Programs (at that time) in the State.  Later, she obtained her Administrator’s license while managing Hudson Haven Care Center, which was owned by Fishkill Health Center.  In 2000, she left Fishkill Health Center to accept a position at Eden Park Health Care Center in Catskill, and later managed Eden Park in Poughkeepsie in 2002, which has since become Pines at Poughkeepsie.

Currently the president of the Advisory Board for the Dutchess County Office for the Aging, she has served on this Board for almost 6 years. She has been involved for the last 3 years with the Caregiver’s Conference, sponsored by the local Alzheimer’s Association and was also involved with the Dutchess County Economic Development Corporation on the Healthcare Subtask Force.

Ms. Koppenhaver is one of Catskill Hudson Area Health Education Center’s founding members and is currently serving as President of this organization’s Board of Directors.
