Maureen Creegan, Ed.D., RN
Dr. Creegan has over 40 years experience in the nursing profession and has spent more than half of her professional life focusing on the education of future nurses at Dominican College. Her earlier clinical nursing experience involved working in both hospitals and public health agencies at Bellevue Hospital, New York University, Nyack Hospital, and Good Samaritan Hospital. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Good Samaritan Hospital and is Board Chair of the Quality Committee.
Dr. Creegan has received numerous honors for her work and has been involved in countless professional activities. Dr. Creegan has more than 25 reviews, papers and presentations to her credit, including several acknowledgements as a keynote speaker. In 1991, she was the Project Director for a HRSA grant at Dominican College for the Gerontological Nursing Educational Development Program.
Dr. Creegan began her nursing education at Bellevue School of Nursing. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Dominican College and pursued two Masters at Teachers College, Columbia University in Teaching Nursing, and Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Adult Health and Illness. She also received her Doctorate of Education at Teachers College, focusing on Nursing Organization: Executive Role.
