Frank Alguire
After earning his Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from SUNY College at Plattsburgh, Frank Alguire worked as an entry-level county planner in St. Lawrence County. He later pursued his Masters in Regional Planning at Washington State University. While there, Mr. Alguire was the student representative on the department’s policy committee, was elected to the graduate senate, and was chosen to receive a fellowship from the U.S. Department of Energy. Mr. Alguire graduated with honors (Phi Kappa Phi) in 1981.
As the Economic Developer for Greene County, Mr. Alguire manages economic development loan programs, and business retention and expansion programs. He is the Department Representative on the Columbia-Greene Workforce Investment Board, Corporate Secretary for the Board, and is the Chair of their Business Services Committee. Prior to working with Greene County, Mr. Alguire assisted with community planning projects throughout New York State and was responsible for grant preparation for larger economic development projects, while serving as the Economic and Community Development Specialist of the Laberge Group in Albany.
